Top 10 Songs On My April/May Playlist

Hey there!

top songs to listen to

I know I didn't make a playlist for April, and that was because of all the exam stuff going on. I didn't really have the time to check out new songs, so the little music that I was listening to was basically the same stuff as March, February and January.

But this playlist right here, was so hard to put together. Not because I couldn't think of anything, but because I had way too many! I had about three drafts of this post, all with different songs. After narrowing it down to ten, I present the songs on my April/May playlist (in no particular order)

1) Kehlani - Bright

You guys know about my obsession with Kehlani. She has been featured on my January, February AND March playlists, and today's playlist is no different. She just released a mixtape (I call it an album because, wow) and honestly, it would take up all ten spots on this playlist, but for the sake of diversity, I've only mentioned Bright. Listen:

2) Conchita Wurst - Unstoppable

Winner of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest is Austria's Conchita Wurst. She has unbelievable amounts of sass and a voice to go with it. Unstoppable's powerful message had me feeling like I could do anything!

3) Guy Sebastian - Tonight Again

Australian singer, Guy Sebastian is probably someone you know of. If not, you better. He competed in 2015's Eurovision Song Contest, and he brought an RnB vibe to the show, which I liked. He reminds me a bit of Bruno Mars, but with more riffs and runs.

4) Måns Zelmerlöw - Heroes

There seems to be a theme of Eurovision 2015 today, right? Heroes is a song by the ever so good looking Swedish singer and winner of the 2015 Eurovision Song Contest.. Apart from his dreamy looks, Måns killed it with Heroes... I've heard the song before but when he performed it on stage, it seemed different. The production was on point and his energy was amazing. He definitely deserved the win. Next year's Eurovision will be in Sweden....holiday, anyone?

5)  Wale - The Matrimony (ft Usher)

Wale recently released his album "The Album About Nothing".... And it's something, I tell ya.

I haven't really had the time to properly listen to it, but the hook on The Matrimony had me....hooked! ...Ushers 90s style RnB voice is so soft and engaging...just...urgh! *fangirl moment* (Explicit)

6)  Ciara - I Got You

Ciara is the QUEEN, I tell you. She recently released an album titled Jackie, which is her mothers name.
Judging from the title, I knew that this was going to be a soulful one.
This album is the perfect example of how Ciara has different sounds and can fit into different generes from house to hip hop, and of course RnB.
I got you begins with a little lullaby to her baby, followed by sweet harmonies and perfection. It's a great was to slow things down and just so adorable!

7) Snakeships - Poison

Don't be discouraged by the title. This song has a throwbackish vibe to it, which I love. I found out about this song through Tasha Green

8) Polina Gagarina - A Milion Voices

Another Eurovision song *sorry*. This Russian beauty was in the lead for the first half of the contest with her beautiful song A Million Voices. Her powerful voice goes very well with the powerful message of the song.

9) Skrillex and Diplo (ft. Justin Bieber) - Where Are  Ü Now

When I first heard this song, I could not beliebe it was JB! I'm not a big listener of Justin, but becuase

Skrillex is the best, and I love Diplo's remixes, this song made it to my playlist.

10) Sage The Gemini - Guantanamera (ft Trey Songz)

So funny story. I never really paid attention to Sage, as I thought he was just another rapper that raps about stuff rappers rap about. I saw a picture on the popular page on Instagram and I ended up on his page. After going through all his pictures and videos (stalker alert), I decided to check some of his music out.

It's not my favourite, but Guantanamera has been stuck in my head and it's just so catchy!!
*sings in head* woahhh Guantanamera!! (Explicit)

So those are the 10 songs I'm listening to the most. I'm listeneing to lots more, but maybe I'll save them for the next post!

Until Next Time

Peace and Love
