Sweet French Toast

It's one of those days when a basic breakfast just won't do it for me. French toast is perfect for when you're too lazy to whip up a full English breakfast and Greek yogurt with fruit just won't do it.

I've been having a slight obseesion with sugar as of late, which is not a good thing. I need to stop with the sweet stuff...but not today!

Sometimes, sweetness is what you need, and this sweet French toast is perfect.

I whipped 2 eggs in a bowl
Added 1 tsp of vanilla extract
1 tbsp of honey
1 tsp of cinnamon

I then dipped slices of bread into the bowl, making sure they were completely covered in the mixture.

I added a bit of olive oil to a hot pan (skillet, for those of you in the U.S). After many failed attempts at French toast in the past, I learned that oil/butter is the secret to the brownness of the toast, as opposed to it looking like eggy bread.

Once one side was brown, I flipped it over and waited for it to cook.

And finally, I sprinkled some icing sugar on top and drowned the toast in maple syrup for this completely sugary breakfast.

Although this is super simple, I have failed way too many times! I'm so happy they turned out great this time!

Do you like French Toast?

Until Next Time

Peace and Love
