Food: Quick and Easy Chicken Pita

Hello all!

I hope you're all doing well! It's been a busy week for me! I'm trying to juggle life, my blog and exam revision and sometimes, sacrifices have to be made.

Sometimes I don't have the time to prepare a pretty home-cooked meal with all sorts of exotic foods, so I tend to make something quick and easy.

I'm taking part in The Children's Society's BenevoLent challenge, and I have chosen to give up takeaway. This means that a quick trip to Nandos was out of the picture.

To satisfy my chicken cravings, I prepared a chicken pita.

I used:

  •  Pita Bread
  • Chicken breast strips
  • Sliced Peppers
  • Avocado
  • Lettuce
  • Cherry Tomatos
  • Chilli sauce

Here is what I did:

  • I fried the chicken breast slices in a pan until they were cooked. I added salt and a bit of chilli spice for taste.

  • I then placed the pitas in the oven until they were crispy.

  • Whilst the chicken was cooking and the pitas were in the oven, I sliced the tomatos, avocado, lettuce and peppers.

  • I then removed the pitas from the over and sliced one in half.

  • I began stuffing the pita, with the avocado first, at the bottom of the pita.

  • I went ahead and added the chicken slices along with the peppers and cherry tomato slice

  • I then added the lettuce , some more chicken strips and topped it off with some chilli sauce.

This is super quick and easy, and saved me the trip to Nandos!

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Until Next Time

Peace and Love
