Drink: Hot Lemon Tea For Sick Days

Hello guys!

I have been unwell recently (thank you, London weather) and I absolutely hate it! Not having energy to do my last minute homework is just saddening. This is probably a sign that I shouldn't procrastinate, lol.
Anyways, I'm not a fan of taking heaps of tablets and syrups to make myself better, although my mom forces me to. I prefer more "natural" remedies to make things better.
I made hot lemon tea to soothe my sore throat and keep me warm.
Here's how:

For 2 mugs of tea, you will need:

  • 2-3 cups water in a small pot
  •  1 or 2 lemons
  • honey or sugar
  • mint (optional)
  • Rooibos Tea (or your favourite tea)

1) Put the water in the pot and let it boil. I like to use the pot instead of the kettle, because I feel like once added, more lemon juice from the lemons will dilute into the water.

2) Slice the lemon(s) and add to the boiling water

3) Reduce heat, add honey (and mint, if you want. But I didn't) and leave for two minutes

4) Remove the sliced lemons

5) Add two teabags to the pot

6) Turn of the heat and remove teabags after three minutes 7) Pout into a mug, and you're good to go!

Tips:
Don't leave the lemon in for too long, otherwise it will be really sour.
You may also want to peel of the skin, as it can make the tea bitter.
Add more honey/sugar to taste, if it's a bit sour.

I hope you liked that little tutorial!
oh.. and I just want to say, thank you to all of you reading! I'm extremely pleased with the responses I'm getting.
