IS THIS GOODBYE?

For the sake of brevity, I’m going to skip the introduction and the usual “Sorry I haven’t posted since (insert date here)”.

From The Bookshelf | On Reading Poetry.

Hello hello! I haven't been posting very often and I apologise for that. The holidays are over, term is about to start, I'm back in London which means it's back to reality. It's been crazy over the last few weeks and lessons haven't even started yet.
I know for a fact that finding time for leisure reading is going to be nearly impossible with the workload that second year will bring, but I think I have found my way around that problem.
Solution? Poetry. Reading poetry.

Realising Things

As Kylie Jenner once said, 2016 is the year of realising things. And that could not be any closer to the truth. September is in full swing and Summer is slowly coming to an end. This time of year, for many, is a time to reflect and to make any changes before the December festivities.

I thought that I might as well do some reflecting, myself. And well...I'm here to share it with you. Here are a few things I've come to terms with over the past year.

Freedom - From Medie

I had never been so excited to get away as I was when I heard that our family would be going on a camping trip. I started to imagine what the trip would be like. I imagined staring into an open space and breathing in the fresh air of Botswana. I imagined watching the sun set oh-so-perfectly below the western horizon. I imagined the adults, joyfully chatting away around the campfire whilst keeping an eye on the children roasting marshmallows for S'Mores.

Music | Best Kizomba Remixes To Get You Vibing

If there’s something that one should love about being a ‘third culture kid’ and meeting people of all nationalities is the exposure they get to different cultures. It's a great thing to be all for learning about somebody else's home country. What languages they speak, what food they eat and what kind of music they listen to.

Africa Can Write

Africa Writes 2016

I remember back when I was about 15 or 16. I'd spend my free evenings reading and writing stories on Wattpad dreaming of the day someone would read them. Although I did not complete any of my stories nor did anyone read my inconsistent chapters, I appreciated the platform. I noticed, however, that most YA contemporary stories both on wattpad and those that have been published, were quite monotonous.
